I am happy to provide design and personal build for any size of garden or offer consultation with a written report.

"This lady designed my garden with a great deal of work, thought and intelligence, enabling it to be unique, individual whilst blending in with the rest of the valley.
She has empathy with how an individual garden can reflect its owner’s wishes, but very often proffers slightly different ideas which augment the project.
She has great knowledge and a passion for her work and it is demonstrated in the end product, which is impressive.
I would employ her again."

"Marzena Baran transformed our small terraced garden by recommending, buying, and planting a variety of new shrubs and plants for our flower beds, and pots.
She made some interesting and original suggestions, and her knowledge of the names of shrubs and plants and their suitability for our garden was very good.
Once we agreed the design, she produced a neatly drawn planting plan. The soil was tested, and replaced before planting started.
Marzena executed the work in the garden with enthusiasm, efficiency and the utmost care. Nothing was too much trouble, and I would have no hesitation in recommending her."

"Marzena Baran has, over the course of a year, transformed my sadly neglected garden into the beautiful garden it is today.
Her first project for me was to re-line the leaking pond and surround it with boulders, a pebble beach, water plants, lilies and grasses. Then, she created at the side of the garden, where the shrubs had become overwhelmed by brambles and ever encroaching ivy, a charming woodland garden with a path and steps leading up to a gazebo, constructed by her partner, Peter, who does her hard landscaping.
She has also redesigned the herbaceous border, illustrating her extensive knowledge of plants and senses of colour and of what looks right.
Lastly, Peter has constructed a marvellous kitchen garden with raised beds and tasteful brick paths in accordance with Marzena’s inspired design. This has now been planted with vegetables interspersed with flowers for charm and to distract the invading insects and snails!
At the same time, she has assiduously maintained the garden over the year, working hard and long on eradicating the ivy and brambles, as well as doing an expert job pruning my roses.
She has made full use of the very comprehensive garden design course which she successfully completed under the tuition and guidance of the accomplished garden and landscape designer Robin Templar Williams FSGD, APLD, MBALI, Principal Tutor and Founding Principal of Garden Design School [1].
He thought very highly of the originality of the ideas which seemed to pour from her. She has additionally learned much of practical gardening from working as a volunteer alongside the professional gardeners at the celebrated and very beautiful gardens at Arundel Castle. In particular, she has received excellent advice and support from Head Gardener, Martin Duncan, who has recently been awarded the Kew Guild Medal for 2018 [2].
I think that Marzena is a very gifted garden designer and I wish her well.
